A Day in Syria: March 27th 2018

  • The Syrian regime forces have started again to bomb Douma city in Eastern Ghouta where civilians are refusing to move and leave their houses. Bombings were done by the artillery.

 

  • NGOs have said: “Negotiations are still going on between Jaysh Al-Islam, the FSA branch in Douma, and Russia”. However, both parties have agreed to wait a few days in order to reflect on the terms of a “preliminary” agreement that still has to be found.

 

  • The third wave of evacuation: deportees from the area of Jobar in Eastern Ghouta have left today heading north of the country.

  • Monday night 100 busses carrying 6749 persons, among them many children and sick people, have left the villages of Eastern Ghouta that were held by the rebel group of Faylaq al-Rahmane. Activists have talked about a fourth wave of displacement today with 13 busses heading north of Syria.

  • The regime army has bombed villages in the countryside of Homs today. Al-Ghanto and Om Charchouh have been the targets of the attacks.

 

  • A woman became a victim of artillery bombing by the Syrian regime army on the village of An-Nakir in the countryside of Idlib. Activists also spoke about several injured persons.

 

  • There have been one victim and several injured persons tonight following the Russian air raids on the suburbs of Kafranbel city in Idlib.

 

  • A reconnaissance drone of the Syrian regime has been shot down today by the FSA in Basr Al-Harir in the province of Deraa.

  • Today the Turkish armed forces along with Free Syrian Army groups took control over the Syrian city of Tall Rafaat and the military airport of Meng in Aleppo.
